5800 XpressMusicFrom the outset,Nokia 5800 looks like a best buy smart phone of its time . In its first few months on the market there have been over 2 million of these devices sold, and backed up by over 10 million search entries on google in just over three months. A very strong role in this is the price. For that amount of money nothing comes even close. Of course it s not iPhone but it has a hell lot of good and necessary stuff inside. (GPS , Wi-Fi connectivity, awesome videos, podcasts, radio, camera, music).

4 WORK
Nokia did a good job with 5800 XpressMusic's touchpad screen and S60 OS but there are still steps to do things as cut-and-paste, or move files from one folder to another, just like on the non-touch screen symbian s60 devices. Once you get used to it is actually a pretty comfortable phone to work with. The touch screen works fine, only the stylus pen is rather simple design and holding pans do get broken due to their design and this area still needs some work.

@CONNECTIVITY
For a sub 200€ phone Nokia  5800 offers all of the possible of connectivity - Bluetooth, a speedy USB connection that makes full use of Class 6 microSD and lots of choices from wireless data like Wi-Fi, GPRS, HSDPA, EDGE, 3G/UMTS, 3.5G/HDSPA. I doubt that anyone would have trouble finding a way to stay updated with the office or friends. All of these protocols work without a single problem as you'd expect from a Nokia phone.

@BATTERY
When it comes to battery Nokia has done a good job with built in 1320 mAh battery assuming that you aren’t a demanding user - and by that, we mean if you're not talking too much, surfing on the web or using GPS services a lot. Otherwise you can enjoy it for as long as three days before you must recharge it. If you're a demanding user, you'll just have to live with the fact that battery won't last more then a day and a half.

@CONCLUSION
The Nokia 5800 Xpress music is a surprisingly good phone, it can be used for many more applications than just playing music. With pack of connectivity options and Ovi store - a pretty good place for finding  lots of applications for your phone to be up to date - it's a good overall package. The Symbian software runs smoothly and makes the handset user friendly. Overall a great piece of smartphone engineering to have if you’re limited by budget.
